A BRAND NEW

1 x EPOXY HYDRAULIC PASTE FOR REPAIR OF DAMAGED PIPES, HEATING SYSTEM, WATER AND SEWERAGE etc. 100g NEW

Hydraulic epoxy paste is a very effective product designed to remove all kinds of leaks in damp, exposed to the frequent presence of water and steam. Thixotropic two-component adhesive based on epoxy resin, hardener, glass fibers, and special crosslinking agents under the influence of moisture. It is characterized by the highest adhesion to almost all hard materials: metals, plastics, glass, stone, concrete, etc.

PARAMETERS:

Colour: light blue
Viability after mixing: 30 minutes
Initial solidification: 120 min. (in temp. 20°C)
Complete solidification: 24 h
Lap shear strength: 40 MPa
Temperature resistance: -40°C to 100°C

FEATURES:

  • easy to use
  • thixotropic consistency
  • resistant to water and high temperature
  • resistant to aggressive chemical agents

IDEAL FOR:

Hydraulic paste is designed to repair damaged pipes, heating system, water and sewerage, etc. It allows you to repair the damage without the time-consuming machining.

ADVANTAGES:

  • simple mix and apply formula
  • does not drip on vertical surfaces
  • for indoor and outdoor use
  • for use in industry and household

HOW TO USE:

  1. You should locate the leak, and then turn off the water (at the time of bonding the water can’t flow from the leak since it could rinse the not solidified mass of glue).
  2. Surfaces to be bonded must be roughened (eg. using sandpaper).
  3. If glued components are made of zinc-plated steel in place of repair, remove the layer of zinc.
  4. Heavily soiled surfaces thoroughly degrease using a cleaner eg. using a paste fireplace glass cleaner P-348 or a similar product.
  5. Thoroughly degrease surfaces (use a set of P-102 Cleaner Degreaser Technical or P-959 or a similar product).
  6. Thoroughly mix the two components until you get a uniform colour (you can use any flat head screwdriver to mix the components together).
  7. Mixing of the paste should be performed in two steps, using a single half of the weight of the components A + B. If there is doubt as to whether the proportion of ingredients is suitable always use a smaller amount of hardener (component B) relative to the resin (component A).
  8. Apply a layer of paste and make sure to push the paste inside of the crack/hole in the leakage. If it is eg. a cracked tube after application of the paste in order to increase the strength of the leak it must be wrapped with glass fiber mesh (included in the kit). Leave the joint for about 30 minutes for initial bonding of the adhesive however, make sure that the mass is not cures fully.
  9. Then mix the remaining amount of the paste and apply a second coat. Wait a few minutes to make sure that the paste did not drain from the surface, and heat the joint using any heater or eg. a hair dryer - the higher temperature will significantly reduce curing time and increase toughness of the weld especially when operating at higher temperatures e.g. about 80 ° C. After the seal is already hard enough to be suitable for mechanical processing (eg. grinding) the repair is finished.

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:

  1. Immerse the containers in hot water (5 min. at 90°C. The liquid component may be easier got out of the container and easier to mix)
  2. Don’t mix more components A and B than can be used in 30 minutes (opening time of the epoxy).
  3. You can shorten the repair time directing a stream of warm air on the repaired parts.
  4. Excess of the paste can be removed with an organic solvent
  5. very thorough mixing of the ingredients is a guarantee of the effectiveness of the paste
  6. to further reinforce the repair place, you can use Glass Mesh T-048

STORAGE:

Store in temperature from 5°C to 25°C. Protect against moisture.
